Olbrich Beach

As the ice began to melt on Lake Monona, I saw these two girls picking up chunks of ice and helping the process along by throwing them into the lake, breaking up the thin ice. I thought it was such an odd thing to do, so I took a picture.

Oh, I love helping ice break! I have spent many hours doing such things in my years growing up in Minnesota. I love the thin ice that forms above a moving melt flow. So fun to smash it!

Welcome to the daily photo community and greetings from Greenville, SC. I had a client in Madison once and enjoyed every visit I made to your city. I especially liked the water, the lights downtown, the college influence, how enthusiastic those I worked with were, also I like the bike paths which Madison provided. best wishes on many great photo opportunities.
